About this trip
Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
It is my pleasure to invite you on behalf of Durango, Colorado’s
Court St. Anthony of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas to
join us on a beautiful pilgrimage to France. A religious pilgrimage
is a grace-filled opportunity to join together in prayer, both
in gratitude for many blessings received, as well as in petition for
continuing growth in the holiness of our Church.
Our journey will include Paris, the “City of Lights,” where we’ll
celebrate Mass at Sacré-Coeur, Notre Dame Cathedral, and the
Chapel of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. We’ll visit Lisieux,
home of Saint Thérèse, the “Little Flower,” and attend Mass with
the Carmelite Nuns at her convent.
We’ll explore Omaha Beach, site of the historic D-Day landings,
and visit the breathtaking Mont Saint-Michel Abbey rising from
the sea.
Our pilgrimage concludes in Lourdes, where the Blessed Virgin
Mary appeared to Saint Bernadette. There, we’ll celebrate
Mass at the Shrine, join the blessing of the sick, and participate
in the nightly candlelight Rosary procession. Pilgrims will also
have time for private prayer, the healing baths, and the Stations
of the Cross overlooking the Grotto. We hope you will consider
this most special gift to yourself and join us as we embark on
a pilgrimage that promises to offer not only a journey of faith,
but also time for prayer, meditation and enjoyment. As space is
limited, reservations should be made as soon as possible.
Sincerely in Christ,
Cathy Mohr Simbeck, Regent of Durango,
Colorado’s Court St. Anthony #1248 of the
Catholic Daughters of the Americas.

Your trip Itinerary
Day 1 – Depart for France
We begin our sacred pilgrimage as We depart from Denver International Airport (DEN) en route to Paris, France. Onboard your international flight, enjoy complimentary meals and beverages as you prepare your heart for the days of spiritual renewal ahead.
Day 2 – Welcome to Paris – Montmartre & Sacré-Cœur
Upon our arrival, we are welcomed by our tour manager and begin a panoramic introduction to the “City of Lights.” We journey past the grand Champs-Élysées, marvel at the monumental Arc de Triomphe, and stop for photos near the Eiffel Tower. This afternoon, we travel to Montmartre, a hilltop haven of artists and saints, where we visit the Basilica of the Sacré-Cœur, an iconic place of prayer and Eucharistic Adoration. Here we celebrate our first Mass in France, entrusting our pilgrimage to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3 – The Miraculous Medal – St. Vincent de Paul – Notre-Dame Cathedral
We begin our day with breakfast at the hotel before journeying to the Chapel of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, a place made holy by the apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary to St. Catherine Labouré in 1830. We venerate the incorrupt body of St. Catherine, displayed beneath the altar, and recall her visions of the Miraculous Medal and the promises of grace attached to it. Just steps away, we visit the Church of St. Vincent de Paul, and nearby, the chapel where the saint’s incorrupt body rests in a silver reliquary above the main altar, masterfully crafted by the famous goldsmith, Odiot. We then proceed to Notre-Dame Cathedral, where we celebrate Mass, lifting our intentions in one of the most iconic churches of Christendom. Lunch is under your own arrangement, followed by a guided walking tour of historic Paris with time to reflect and explore. In the evening, we gather for a delightful French dinner at Noces de Jeannette, then return to our hotel for dinner and overnight in Paris.
Day 4 – In the Footsteps of St. Thérèse of Lisieux
Breakfast at the hotel and then depart Paris for the peaceful town of Lisieux, the home of St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus, also known as “The Little Flower.” Upon arrival, we visit the Basilica of St. Thérèse, an impressive shrine built in her honor after her canonization. Here we remember her “Little Way”, a path of humility, simplicity, and great trust in God. We continue to Les Buissonnets, the childhood home of Thérèse, and the Carmelite Convent, where she lived as a cloistered nun and offered her life in love and sacrifice. We then visit St. Peter’s Cathedral, where Thérèse attended Mass with her family, where we ourselves concelebrate Mass in her memory. In the late afternoon, we drive through the scenic Normandy countryside to the town of Bayeux, where we enjoy dinner and overnight at our hotel.
Day 5 – American Heroes & Heavenly Wonders – Mont Saint-Michel
After breakfast, we depart for Colleville-sur-Mer, where we solemnly visit the American Cemetery, honoring the thousands of young men who gave their lives on D-Day. Standing here in prayer, we give thanks for their sacrifice and pray for peace. Nearby, we stop at the Omaha Beach Memorial Museum, a moving tribute to the courage and endurance of Allied soldiers during World War II. We continue our journey to the mystical Mont Saint-Michel, a soaring Benedictine abbey rising from the tidal waters of Normandy. After lunch on your own, we explore this medieval masterpiece, where monks have chanted the Divine Office for over a thousand years. We then visit St. Pierre Church, a quiet Gothic chapel near the base of the mount, where we celebrate Mass. Our day concludes with a transfer to Laval (or Le Mans, depending on hotel availability), where we enjoy dinner and overnight accommodations.
Day 6 – Journey to Nevers – Resting Place of St. Bernadette
Following breakfast, we set out for Nevers, a serene town nestled in the Loire Valley, where St. Bernadette Soubirous lived in seclusion after the apparitions at Lourdes. We visit the Convent of Saint Gildard, where Bernadette spent her remaining years in prayer and humility. Here we venerate her incorrupt body, peacefully resting in a crystal coffin—a quiet miracle and testimony to her sanctity. We celebrate Mass in the chapel where she prayed daily. After time for reflection, we check in to our hotel in Nevers, where we share dinner and rest for the night.
Day 7 – Paray-le-Monial – The Sacred Heart of Jesus
After breakfast, we depart for Nevers. We journey to Paray-le-Monial, a peaceful town filled with the warmth of Christ’s love. This is the site of the revelations of the Sacred Heart of Jesus to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, who called the world back to the depths of His divine mercy. We visit the Chapel of the Visitation, where the Lord appeared to St. Margaret Mary and revealed His Heart burning with love for all humanity. We pause here for Mass and time in quiet adoration.
After lunch on your own, we depart for Limoges (or Clermont-Ferrand, depending on accommodations). Upon arrival, we check in and gather for dinner and rest.
Day 8 – Journey to Lourdes in the Heart of the Pyrenees
After breakfast, we embark on our journey to Lourdes, one of the most beloved Marian shrines in the world, nestled at the foot of the Pyrenees. Along the way, enjoy prayerful reflection, rest, and fellowship as we traverse the beautiful French countryside. Upon arrival in Lourdes, we check into our hotel and prepare our hearts for the sacred days ahead. In the evening, we celebrate Mass at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes, and then participate in the candlelight procession — joining pilgrims from around the globe in praying the Rosary under the stars.
Day 9 – Lourdes Walking with St. Bernadette in Lourdes
This morning, we celebrate Mass at the Grotto, the very place where the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to St. Bernadette in 1858. Here, grace flows abundantly, through prayer, silence, and the miraculous spring that has brought healing to countless souls. We visit important sites from Bernadette’s life: Boly Mill, where she was born, The Cachot, a former jail cell where her family lived in poverty during the apparitions. The afternoon is free for personal prayer and devotion. Pilgrims may: drink from the miraculous spring, walk the Stations of the Cross, overlooking the Grotto, visit the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception or attend the Blessing of the Sick. In the evening, we once again participate in the candlelight procession joining Our Lady in her call to prayer and penance. Dinner and overnight in Lourdes.
Day 10 – Lourdes A Day of Healing and Silence in Lourdes
Today is a grace-filled opportunity for deeper healing and personal encounter. After breakfast, pilgrims are encouraged to participate in: the healing baths (subject to availability), quiet time for Adoration, journaling, or the Rosary Way, confession or private Mass with your spiritual director. Let this be a day to rest, renew, and receive. In the silence of this holy place, allow the Immaculate Heart of Mary to draw you closer to the Heart of her Son. We gather in the evening for a final group dinner and overnight in Lourdes.
Day 11 – Return to USA
Today we bid farewell to Lourdes and the beautiful land of France. With hearts full of grace and memories of holy encounters, we transfer to Toulouse Airport for our return flight via Paris to Denver. We return home as pilgrims, changed by the beauty of the saints, the tenderness of Our Lady, and the unfailing love of Christ.
