About this trip

The early Franciscans sent some of their first missionaries to venerate and protect the sacred sites of the Holy Land. Following the admonition of their founder St. Francis of Assisi, they went always two by two because, as Jesus said, “wherever two or three gather in my name I am in the midst of them.” The majority of the sacred sites are still venerated and protected by the friars to this very day. St. Francis understood the importance of contemplating these places where the Divine feet of the savior left human footprints in the soil, but always in community, always as the Church. Accompany the Church on a Capuchin Franciscan pilgrimage as we contemplate the sacred sites where heaven touched earth and grow in our understanding of the Scriptures while deepening our faith in God’s power to renew our lives.
